Board of Governors

Board of Governors

The Collins Board of Governors (BOG) is the legislative body of the Collins Student Government. Any Collins resident can run to be a floor representative.

The Board of Governors has 3 main responsibilities:

  • It is the board responsible for allocating student government activity fee money by funding projects in the Collins community and approving student government chair and director budgets.
  • It serves as a forum in which student concerns can be heard and addressed.
  • It fulfills other legislative roles delegated to it by the Collins Constitution.

The Board of Governors meets every-other week (see calendar). BOG meetings are open to all residents, but Governors or their proxies are the only ones who may vote.

Hey! I’m Dylan and I’m a freshman, so is my first year at Collins LLC! I’m majoring in Neuroscience and Spanish, and I’m hoping to study Linguistics. This year I’ll be serving as Vice President of Internal Affairs, and I’m beyond thrilled. Besides Spanish, I’m currently involved in studying Portuguese and Italian, so please come to me if you’re taking those classes and need any help or just want someone to practice with! Some of my other hobbies include making music, traveling, reading, going to the gym, philosophy and debate & logic, and learning about other cultures. I care a lot about helping the community and I’m looking forward to making this a great year for everyone!
