View past artistsAt Collins we enhance the living environment by bringing in artists and scholars from abroad and within the U.S. to live and teach at Collins during eight-week sessions. These programs are often collaborations with other departments and units at IU, and engage faculty and staff from across campus within Collins.
Past visiting artists include filmmakers, sculptors, performance artists, designers, printmakers, and more from all parts of the world. Our visiting scholars’ courses have spanned a breadth of topics from the #MeToo movement to Italian Food, History and Culture; Health and Medicine in Africa to Atomic Challenges. This program is now the Collins International Diversity and Inclusion Scholar (CIDIS) program.
