Board of Governors

Board of Governors

The Collins Board of Governors (BOG) is the legislative body of the Collins Student Government. It is made up of one or two Governors from every floor in Collins.

The Board of Governors has 3 main responsibilities:

  • It is one of the boards responsible for allocating student fee money by boarfunding projects in the Collins community.
  • It serves as a forum in which student concerns can be heard and addressed.
  • It fulfills other legislative roles delegated to it by the Collins Constitution.

The Board of Governors typically meets every-other week (see calendar). BOG meetings are open to all residents, but Floor Governors or their proxies are the only ones who may vote.

Jacob Smith

I’m a senior in the Media School, pursuing a degree in Creative Advertising. I am perpetually only 3/4 of the way through my to-do list, and spend far too much time wondering what I should be doing. I was born in Indiana (Terre Haute), grew up in Indiana (Corydon), and now live in... Indiana (Bloomington).

My passions include music, sleeping, eating, walking, writing, and daydreaming. My favorite book is "What's Eating Gilbert Grape," favorite movie is "The Shawshank Redemption," and I can't pick a favorite song, but it would probably be something by The Beatles, but not "Something," by The Beatles.
