At this year's Celebration of Academics held on Sunday, March 27, 2022, Collins Living-Learning Center Director Lara Kriegel congratulated the 47 Collins LLC members named Founders Scholars and also recognized 6 academically outstanding seniors.
IU awards the most academically distinguished undergraduates the designation of Founders Scholar and honors them at an annual event, the IU Bloomington Honors Convocation, which took place earlier in the day on the 27th. To be designated a Founders Scholar, an undergraduate degree-seeking student must have earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 or above by the end of the fall term immediately preceding the Honors Convocation.
At the Celebration of Academics, we also recognized and honored our seniors with GPAs of 3.5 or above for their achievements throughout their time at IU.
Our event celebrates the strong tradition of academics at the living-learning center and this year featured brief remarks by the co-chairs of the Board of Educational Programming, Levi Gettleman and Keaton Clulow. After the program, students were able to grab cookies and chat with their peers. Congratulations to all of our outstanding scholars at Collins!
