As announced in the State of the University address, Collins Living-Learning Center is on the books for renovation. The project, approved by the Indiana University Board Of Trustees this month, is slated for construction beginning May 2020 after students have moved out for the academic year. Construction is planned for completion by July 2021.
The project involves renovation work on Edmondson, Cravens, and Smith, including plans for air conditioning, the addition of an elevator, and an update of the kitchen and food services area, among other improvements.
While the three buildings are closed for the 2020-2021 academic year, the LLC will be hosted in Foster-Shea and Hillcrest. There is space for both returners and new incoming students in the Foster-Shea space, though current LLC residents will have to contact LLC staff to re-contract into that space for next year.
