Arts Council

Arts Council is a great way to get involved with the arts here at Collins. Arts Council provides funding for student programs, maintains several studios that are available to all Collinsites, and produces several different events and publications.

To get involved with Arts Council, to receive funding for programs, or to meet the Arts Council coordinators, come to our meetings! They are typically every other Friday at 4:00 p.m. in the Tate Holt Tower Lounge. Check the Collins Calendar for the specific dates.

To get involved with the different studios, publications, and events, get in touch with our student coordinators! Also follow Arts Council on Instagram @collinsartscouncil.

Hello, Collins! I’m Cam, and I’m a junior studying English and education, currently in my third year at the Collins LLC. In my spare time, I can be found reading silly little novels and staring at the wall while contemplating the inevitable end of all things. This year I’ll be serving as a Q-instructor, Arts Council Chair, and a Duty Office hourly. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions, comments, concerns, or controversial opinions on your favorite dinosaurs. Please talk to me! I welcome it! My email’s right up there on this page you can click on it do it do it now!

Howdy! My name is Ellison (people also call me Ellis and you can too) and I am a junior studying clinical psychology and Spanish. This is my third year at Collins! Previously, I have been involved here as the chair of our Arts Council and as the digital arts coordinator. This year, I am continuing to stay involved as the vice chair of Arts Council, a barista in the Cheshire Café, and as a Q-Instructor! Outside of classes and Collins, I enjoy playing violin (ask me about the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra!), drawing, wandering the woods, baking, bouldering, rocking out on bass guitar, and getting into shenanigans. If you ever have any questions about Collins, IU, or anything else (or if you have any music recommendations!), you can always feel free to email me at eroliger@iu.edu :•)
