On the evenings of November 11th and 12th, Collinsites gathered in the Dottie Collins Commons to watch their peers perform a dramatic re-enactment of a beloved classic. The Princess Bride was adapted for this re-enactment from the script of the 1987 film written by William Goldman. The show was adapted and directed by Arts Council’s theatre co-coordinators, Amelia Redding and Grace Parton, starring Joachim Davis as Westley and Kalen Kpabar as Buttercup. Niko Brooks and Sawyer Horton were lively and loveable as Inigo Montoya and Fezzik, and co-director Amelia Redding was outstanding as Valerie and Humperdink's understudy. Full of sword fights, love, adventure, and plenty of laughs, the Fall 2023 Collins theatre production was certainly one to remember.
Bryce Cain, Kieran Crane, Chloe “CJ” Jones, Orion Knobeloch, James Kranich, Harlee McCreary, Kira McElwain, Ana Vujadinovic, and Kelly Xu rounded out the cast with their engaging and hilarious performances.
The backstage crew, consisting of Weston Kilgore, Josey Mentzer, Jul Timmermans, Isabel Link, and Jacob Moehn, made the show possible. These Collinsites worked incredibly hard to put this fantastic show together, thank you to everyone who came out to support their efforts!
