Why did you choose Collins?
When I arrived at IU for my first tour, I was really nervous about the prospect of attending such a large university. The campus seemed overwhelmingly vast; I wondered how I would ever learn to navigate it, much less create a place for myself there — until I visited Collins. It was love at first sight. Collins was the only residence hall I visited that day with such a strong sense of community. Students were working together on art projects out in the quad, planning a program in Ed Formal, and fiercely debating the previous night’s Game of Thrones episode in the Coffeehouse. I decided that I wanted to live in Collins within the first five minutes that I was there. (And later on, when I discovered that Collins also has a darkroom, library, and the coolest dining hall on campus — that just sealed the deal.)
