As we all know, times are hard. Increasingly, active Collins students struggle to find the funds needed to stay.  To help, we have set up a new $750 award, the Collins Retention Scholarship.  We plan to give two this year.  If you are able to do so, please consider supporting this initiative by donating here.

Collins' artist-in-residence from Colombia  
 

Adolfo Cifuentes is teaching "The Architecture of Seeing: Spaces for Viewing Arts and Media" this term.  He will give a performance, followed by a talk and a reception, at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2, in the Edmondson Coffeehouse .  All are welcome!

Michael Martone inspires writers
 
As a Collinsite, Michael Martone wrote poems on command for a quarter each.  More than a dozen books later, he came back, as part of his "Double-wide World Tour of Indiana."  Students joined him for dinner.  Then, he gave a reading, followed by a spirited Q&A session.
