As we all know, times are hard. Increasingly, active students struggle to find the funds needed to stay at Collins. To help, we have set up scholarships, which empower students to take on worthy projects that increase the sense of community within Collins and Bloomington.
If you are able to do so, please consider supporting this initiative by donating to the Ralph Collins Living-Learning Center Educational Fund. |

Scholarship winners
This year's recipients of the Ernest and Eva
Bernhardt Award
Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to award several scholarships to Collins students this year. Here is our list of winners:
The Ernest and Eva Bernhardt Award:
- Elizabeth Danielson: J-Board chair, former E-Force co-director
- Sarah Epplin: Collins president, former Q instructor, former historian
- Isaac Wilson: Head event tech coordinator, Q instructor
The Bertotti-Goldberg Q Project Award:
- 1st place: Nelson Keller, Joseph Linnemeier, and Jamie Phipps for "Collins Class of 2014 Compilation Album"
- 2nd place: Megan Burger and Drew Wehrle for "The First Annual Urban Dictionary Spelling Bee"
The Service Award Scholarship:
- Sabena Siddiqui, for her work with the American Cetacean Society Student Coalition
- Becky Boyle, for her work with Bloomington homeless shelters

Faculty/Staff Reception
The annual Collins opening ceremony will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 3:30-5:00 p.m. in the Edmondson Formal Lounge. You're invited to mingle with current Collins residents and friends of Collins as we celebrate the beginning of the 2011-12 academic year.
